School Admissions

You can apply for a primary school place online anytime from 1 September 2024 to 15 January 2025 11:59pm.

Online admission for Primary Schools is available though the link – Citizens Portal.

If you still need to apply for a primary school place after the 15 January 2025, you schould contact the local authority for an application form by emailing admissions@bolton.gov.uk.  Your application will be classed as late and will only be considered after all those received on time.  You may not receive an offer of a school place until after 16 April 2025.

Transferring between Primary Schools

Applications for moving during the school year can only be made online using the – Citizens Portal.

If you are applying for a school place at a school in another local authority, you will need to contact that local authority to find out the process of applying for schools in that area.  You cannot use the Bolton Citizen Portal to apply to move school place to another area.
